Welcome Media! ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Cheldan Homes will provide a life-changing experience for a very deserving metroplex family. This Extreme Makeover could not take place without community support. Publicity by the press energizes the community to volunteer, to donate to the family or to come cheer for those working so hard on this home. Thank you for your participation and the important role you will play in changing this family’s life. GENERAL INFORMATION The Media Area will provide you front row access to the Extreme Build. Because this is a closed construction/live television site, you must first check in at the Volunteer/Media Tent and you must clearly display your Media ID at all times. Due to the on-going construction, closed-toe shoes are required or you will not be permitted on the site. Once the family is identified, directions to the site and for media parking will be available on this site. Interviews Interviews with the builders, designers, project managers and volunteers are an excellent way to supplement stories with visuals and human interest angles. Interviews may be scheduled throughout the project by contacting Debbie Dolins, who will make every effort to schedule interviews with the person you need when you need them. Please remember that for this Extreme project, time is of the essence. Cheldan Homes and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will be working on a very tight deadline in order to complete this home in less than a week. For that reason, and for your safety, all media are required to stay in the media tent for their coverage. Media is never allowed to be part of construction, to volunteer or walk into the house until after the show airs on ABC this fall.
